More than that, it’s a season where there is more than enough love to go around and everyone can sense the absolute joy that accompanies this time of year. Hearts are filled with gratitude for every blessing from the year passed and compassion for those that, for whatever reason, may not be able to experience Christmas the way it should be. Christmas is the season of giving.
La Petite Ferme loves every aspect of the festive season and sees it as an opportunity to give back to the community. This ‘giving’ is done in several ways, however one of our traditions is to invite local Franschhoek children to come to La Petite Ferme for the day to decorate the beautiful Christmas tree on the premises. It’s a tradition that aims to allow those children the opportunity of experiencing a bit more love and joy as the season approaches. Over the years, it has been a highlight for both the La Petite Ferme employees and the children. It’s a day where people from different backgrounds, who have different stories, join together and share in laughter, joy, love and the gift of giving. If you visit La Petite Ferme this festive season, be sure to take a look at the Christmas tree, as it symbolises La Petite Ferme’s heart of giving and caring for the community.
