October 2022 –
La Petite Ferme Newsletter – Spring/Summer Edition 2022
We love this time of the year in Franschhoek. The setting is captured splendidly in Victor Hugo’s poem, Printemps (Springtime). “Here are the long days, light, love, delirium!” he declares in the very first line.
This is the theme for our latest newsletter. We’re especially excited because guests in our newly refurbished Manor House suites will get to experience it all for the first time when they are completed. If by November ( when they’ll be open for guests to stay) they’re all booked out despair not! There’s another way to enjoy the magnificent views from La Petite Ferme – come and try out our restaurant’s new Spring/Summer menu. View menu here
The sweetest of SUITES….the newly renovated Manor House Suites
The extensive renovations of the Manor House suites have taken several months which will be completed the first week of November. In addition to completely overhauling them, we’re adding a 5th suite. Our total offering will soon include five beautifully appointed vineyard suites and the five Manor House suites.
The revamped interiors now reflect a far more contemporary and upmarket look. We also revamped the outside verandas, enlarged the swimming pool and modernized the hard landscape areas. Among the projects undertaken, new state-of-the-art air-conditioning was installed while top-end fittings and fixtures were added. All the suites will have conveniences such as underfloor heating in the bathrooms, heated towel rails, Wi-Fi, smart televisions and private, under-roof terraces.
Each suite has been individually decorated to a regional theme and named by our owner, after people who have inspired him. In brief, there’s John and Carol, former owners of La Petite Ferme who hailed from Zimbabwe; Foufi, the nickname for his father, born in Lebanon; Helene, his Switzerland-born mother; Andre, a bit-hearted friend who loves the South of France; and, Sryani from Sri Lanka.
The new suites will be available for booking in November, with the October 2022 to April 2023 rates priced from R10 580 per room, per night. For a sneak peak of what the rooms will look like, please follow the link to the Manor House 3D Visuals. Food, glorious food!
Many of our loyal visitors will agree: the restaurant at La Petite Ferme is one of the best ways to enjoy the Franschhoek Valley. Another reason to book now is that there’s a new Spring/Summer menu. It’s styled as country cuisine with a fresh contemporary touch. Two courses may be enjoyed at R580per person or three courses for R620per person.
There’s a children’s menu too.
For lunch, the restaurant is open daily and served from 12:00 until 15:30. For dinner, it is open daily May to September from 18:30 until 20:20, and from October to April, daily from 18:30 until 21:00.
It’s always best to book. You can book online HERE or visit www.lapetiteferme.co.za. for more details.
